The wedding of the century, the one to take place in England between Prince William and the lovely Kate Middleton, has sparked insane media attention, obviously and probably rightly so. The economy sucks, Ireland is about to go bottoms up - we could use some old school pomp and romance.

Anyway, Zoe Williams has penned a delightfully zinging commentary in The Guardian about it, and snobbery, and class. My favorite quote: "It's funny, isn't it, snobbery? You think it'll have some caustic power, then you see it in finer detail and it's witless." I've always felt that snobbery was one of the higher forms of stupidity.
