I remember listening to Perel give a TED talk, and being instantly charged by the subtle, humaine approach to desire and the erotic that she shared passionately and intellectually with the audience. For a subject both mysterious and biological, being able to be at once thrilled and reasonable is a gift and an art. Perel's mingling of religious and pop cultural to understand the human psyche in love is completely captivating.
